Learn to Skate Classes

Logan City Skate Around teaches Learn to Skate classes based on the nationally accredited Skate Stars program developed by Skate Australia. We also have Adult Learn to Skate which is aimed at styled around the needs of out adult skaters.

Participants in Learn to Skate – Skate Stars Program progress through ‘star’ levels, with testing conducted regularly to allow skaters to advance at their own pace. Class sizes are small, and are taught by accredited coaches, assisted by a team of experienced and enthusiastic skaters.

Participants in Adult Learn to Skate work though various skills at their own pace with the assistance of our coaches. Class content varies from week to week depending upon the class participants. Should they wish, our adult skaters can join the Learn to Skate – Skate Stars program and work their way though the ‘star’ levels complete with testing.

The one hour Learn to Skate session includes 30 minutes of free skating so skaters can practice their new skills in a fun, relaxed and supervised environment.

Classes are $8.16 per week ($8.00 plus 2% credit card surcharge) including free skate hire.

For new skaters, your first lesson and skate hire is free!

After the first two weeks, new skaters in the Learn to Skate program are required to join the club and Skate Queensland for insurance purposes. The recreational membership cost is just $66.30 ($65.00 plus 2% credit card surcharge) for the calendar year ending 31 December.

5 and 10 visit passes are now available —

• Pre-purchase 5 classes for $40.80 (S40.00 plus 2% credit card surcharge)
• Pre-purchase 10 classes for $73.44 ($72.00 plus 2% credit card surcharge). That is pay for 9 classes and get the 10th class free!
