At the start of each new calendar year, existing Learn to Skate (recreational) skaters will need to renew their membership with Skate Queensland and with Logan City Skate Around. New skaters can sign-on at any time during the year for $76.50 ($75.00 plus 2% credit card surcharge) for a recreational (Learn to Skate) membership which remains current until the end of December in that year.
Click on each step below and follow instructions to complete your sign up process.
Complete and sign the forms contained in the first two of the above files. These are:
LCSA Membership Form
Skate Queensland Form
Please note that both forms must be completed in full before we can process your membership.
If possible, please complete both forms on your computer, then print and sign them. This will assist greatly by ensuring that the completed forms are easy to read.
Returning skaters now have the option to join as either a recreational member (to be eligible to participate in Learn to Skate only), or as a development member (to be eligible to participate in Show Skate at the end of the year and potentially move into the ranks of our club level skaters). If you are in Skate Stars level 3 or 4 and you’re hoping to progress to club level skating which allows you to participate in our full training sessions and skate in competitions, please chat with out Head Coach, Anita, about your membership options before re-signing. To do this prior to the first Learn to Skate class, please use our Contact Us page to contact Anita.
All members are also provided a copy of:
Please make yourself familiar with the content of both documents.
All memberships are valid for the current calendar year and do expire on 31 December each year.
Make full payment.
The costs of the various membership levels are as follows:
The simple way of doing this is to transfer your payment into the club’s bank account (details are on the membership application form). Please ensure that you take a copy of your payment receipt as this will need to be forwarded to us so that the Registrar and Treasurer can reconcile your account. When making your electronic payment, please make sure that you include at least the skater’s surname on your transfer so that our Treasurer can easily identify your payment on our bank statement. The credit card surcharge does not apply if you make payment directly into our bank account.
Alternatively, credit card facilities will be available at the Learn to Skate sign-in table at Learn to Skate sessions. Please note that ALL credit card payments attract a 2% credit card surcharge which is shown above.
There are NO cash payment facilities available.
Please note that membership fees for both Learn to Skate and Competition members MUST be paid before you can take the floor.
Return the completed membership forms and the copy of your payment receipt to us.
This can be scanned or clearly photographed, and emailed to us at LcsaRegistrar@outlook.com.
Please note that these will NOT be processed until we have proof of payment of the relevant fees.
Alternatively, you can return your form to the Learn-to-Skate Sign-In table before the first Learn-to-Skate session that you attend in 2023. Due to insurance restrictions, membership including payment of all fees must be in place before a returning skater can take the floor.
If you have any questions about renewing your membership, please send us a message from our Contact Us page.
Club members who attend the club group lessons or those who have private lessons may from time to time need to advise us of their absence in the case of holidays, injury or extended absence. This can be done using the LCSA Holiday Absence Form.
Two versions of the form are available for download. They are a PDF version and a Word version. Please use whichever is most convenient for you.
Completed forms should be emailed to LCSAabsences@gmail.com for processing. This will allow us to easily keep track of these applications. You will receive the form back to advise whether or not the application of holiday fees will be applied to your account.
